Job Description: Position Summary: The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of students. The teacher delivers standards-aligned instruction, monitors student progress, and collaborates with colleagues and families to ensure all learners are prepared for middle school success.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver daily instruction aligned to state standards in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies).
Create a classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and high expectations.
Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments; adjust instruction based on data.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Communicate regularly with families about student performance and classroom activities.
Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and instructional coaches.
Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Supervise students during class, transitions, and assigned duties.
Integrate technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
Job Summary: The most qualified candidate will provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Qualifications: Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a valid Colorado teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned. The ideal applicant will demonstrate competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
