Executive Director, Seeds of Learning Early Care and Education Center

Seeds of Learning Early Care and Education Center (SOL), an NAEYC-accredited childcare center, is accepting applications for its Executive Director position in Pagosa Springs, CO, serving children ages 2½ to 5 years.

The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership, management, and integrity in the operations of SOL. This role includes oversight of all aspects of the program, including legal and fiscal components related to early childhood education (ECE), staff management, educational programming, professional development, operations and facilities management, stakeholder relations, and fundraising. The Executive Director also serves as a model for family support through family-centered practices.

In collaboration with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will implement forward-thinking policies and procedures that align with the program’s vision, philosophy, mission, growth goals, and best practices in Early Childhood Education. The ideal candidate will be committed to continuous quality improvement, incorporating feedback from all stakeholders, including families and staff. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to effectively utilize current computer technology.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) is required. A Colorado Director Qualification Certificate is preferred, along with experience as a preschool teacher and some supervisory or management experience. This is a year-round, 40-hour-per-week position with a starting salary between $65,000 and $70,000, depending on qualifications.
