Job Description: HELP WANTED
SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER 7-12

Cheyenne County School District Re-5 in Cheyenne Wells, Co is seeking a 7th - 12th grade social studies teacher. Subjects to be taught but not limited to are: U.S. History, World History, Geography, American Government, General Social Studies for 7th and 8th Grades. Coaching positions are available but not required if interested.

Responsibilities: 
• Provide direct instruction in the classroom to students.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
• Willingness to work within a small school setting.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: 
1. Must have a valid Colorado Certification/license as required by Colorado Department of Education or the credentials to obtain a Colorado license.
2. Must be "highly qualified" in Secondary Social Studies.
3. Creative and positive communication skills with the ability to problem solve effectively.
Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent. Specifically, all teachers act as advisors and grade-level sponsors, asked to support the social-emotional development of adolescents.
