Position Title: Nutrition Services Supervisor

FLSA Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Work Calendar: 202 Day
Pay Range: $66,455 to $116,296
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nutrition Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nutrition services department in all school and across school district programs. The operations include ensuring compliance with all food and OSHA safety standards, the purchase and inventory of food, supplies and commodities, filing of state reports, and supervision of nutrition services staff.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise the daily nutrition services operations and staff in the school district
• Supervises and manages the nutrition services operations of a specific school kitchen
• Manage the recruitment, retention, assignment, and performance of nutrition services staff
• Ensure all county, state and federal regulations regarding food preparation, safety and sanitation of kitchen areas meet regulation requirements
• Coordinate the planning of menus for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and special food distributions to comply with state and federal guidelines
• Coordinate the ordering of food items, commodities, and supplies
• Maintain an inventory for each kitchen and storage area within the school district
• Prepare state and federal reports
• Other duties as assigned

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student, staff, and district information.
• Comply with all applicable federal and Colorado laws, Board of Education policies, and district procedures.
• Utilize district technology systems, including email, financial systems, routing software, data management platforms, and nutrition software, in accordance with district policy.
• Protect and care for district property and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Operations and Innovation.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of county, state and federal regulations pertaining to nutrition services operations
• Knowledge of food safety training requirements
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general office technology systems
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and roles.
• Ability to problem-solve and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to recognize the importance of workplace safety, follow safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in school district nutrition services (minimum of 3 years)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate's degree or higher in business, office administration, or related field.

SUPERVISES:
Kitchen Managers
Supports the evaluation of nutrition services staff
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
• Work is primarily performed in a kitchen environment and office environment
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting.
• May require occasional travel between district sites to support operational needs.
